Mrs. Michelle Segura Joof is a full-time Instructor for Los Angeles City College and has been an educator with the Los Angeles Community College District for over 11 years. She has taught a wide range of courses, including GED Preparation, Business, Entrepreneurship, Leadership, and College Exploration.
She holds a degree in Marketing from California State University, Long Beach, and an MBA from California State University, Los Angeles. Previously, Mrs. Segura served as the Coordinator for the Dream Resource Center at Los Angeles Trade-Tech College. In both instructional and leadership roles, she has consistently advocated for students and created innovative opportunities for engagement both inside and outside of the classroom.
Professor Segura is passionate about designing, implementing, and leading programs that address critical student needs. She has facilitated training sessions, workshops, and presentations for students and educators across California, collaborating with partners such as the Foundation for California Community Colleges, the CCC Chancellor’s Office, and Immigrants Rising.
Outside of her professional work, Professor Segura enjoys wellness practices and is a proud dog mom to a ten-year-old pit bull. Together with her husband, she enjoys sound baths, yoga, and meditation on the weekends.
