Trainings

CAL Pro Leadership Institute 2025

Culturally Responsive Pedagogy Program

Culturally Responsive Pedagogy Program

Through the CALPRO Leadership Institute, I learned how to apply data-driven decision-making and collaborative leadership to strengthen adult education programs. The experience helped me better understand institutional processes, build strategies for team development, and connect leadership to student-centered outcomes. I also gained tools to lead change initiatives with clarity, empathy, and purpose. I am currently working with a mentor who is helping me  accomplish professional goals set after the training.

Culturally Responsive Pedagogy Program

I am currently participating in the Culturally Responsive Pedagogy Program, where I am learning how to design instruction that is inclusive, affirming, and reflective of my students’ cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Through this ongoing training, I’m deepening my understanding of how to embed belonging and representation into all aspects of teaching—curriculum design, classroom discussions, and student engagement. This experience continues to reinforce my belief that culturally responsive teaching is not just a practice, but a mindset that drives equity and authentic connection in the classroom.

COABE PART A Entrepreneurship Mindset

Culturally Responsive Pedagogy Program

COABE PART A Entrepreneurship Mindset

Through COABE’s Entrepreneurship Mindset training, I learned practical ways to help students develop creativity, resilience, and critical thinking through real-world problem-solving. I gained new frameworks to integrate entrepreneurial skills—like opportunity recognition, adaptability, and persistence—into my noncredit business and GED courses. This training inspired me to continue empowering students to think like entrepreneurs, both in and beyond the classroom. I am set to complete part B in Spring 2026.
